Your guide will start with a safety briefing and a few paddling tips before you head out. No previous kayaking experience is needed, and the tour follows a relaxed pace with time to enjoy the surroundings.

Depending on the weather and tides, the route may include Ilha das Aves, a stop at a quiet beach for swimming, and a paddle through the mangroves. Keep an eye out for coastal birds, crabs, turtles, and other marine life. Wildlife sightings are possible but not guaranteed.

Along the way, your guide will share local knowledge about Paraty’s natural environment and Caiçara culture. The tour also stops at Barra do Corumbê Beach before returning to Jabaquara. If you fancy a refreshment, you may be able to buy açaí, fresh fruit, or a drink there. These are not included in the tour price.

With a small group and a route that takes you beyond the usual sights of the historic centre, this is a great way to see more of Paraty from the water.

Swimming: Swimming ability is not required, but a life jacket must be worn throughout the kayaking activity.
Route: The route and stops may change depending on tides, weather, and sea conditions.
Mangroves: Entry into the mangrove channel is tide-dependent and cannot be guaranteed.
Wildlife: Birds and marine animals may be spotted, but sightings are not guaranteed.
Pace: The guide adjusts the pace to accommodate the group.
Refreshments: Food and drinks at the beach stop are optional and purchased separately.
Weather: The tour is weather-dependent and may be adjusted if conditions require it.

What do I need to bring?
